What the survey collects, what is published, and when it is deleted.
What is collected
- Your answers to the survey, including anything you write and any pothole locations and photos you add.
- If you give them: your first and last name, street, email, where you live, how long you have lived here, and your age group.
- The permission choices you make on the last screen.
Why
Your answers shape the platform published on 5 October. Your name and street let the campaign count each person once and reply if you want a reply. Your email is used only for what you ticked: the results, campaign updates, or helping out.
What is published
- Only if you ticked “Include my answers in published survey results”: totals and charts, never with your name and never in a group smaller than ten people.
- Only if you ticked “You may quote what I wrote”: short quotes without your name, with any detail that could identify you taken out.
- Pothole pins appear on the public map only if you allowed published results, and then numbered and without your name.
- Names and streets are never published.
Where it is kept
While you answer, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can stop and come back. On the live site they are also saved to the campaign’s server. Nothing is shared with anyone outside the campaign.
How long
Answers are kept until 31 December 2026 and then deleted, except the email of anyone who asked for updates or to help.
Your choices
You can change your answers and permissions at any time from the same browser, or by using the link sent to your email. To have your answers deleted sooner, contact the campaign at the number below.
